Course Description: 

This course is a continuation of Hindi Language, Hindi II-A and integrates the five Program Goals of the TEKS for LOTE: Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities. This course is designed to enhance a student's listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. Students create conversational dialogues to perform in their virtual classroom and present their own cultural tours using Hindi words. Students learn advanced vocabulary and grammar and become more familiar with Arabic dialects. During this course, the student will:

  • Read texts on several topics and become more comfortable reading Hindi  
  • Develop linguistic proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the cultural content of the Hindi language.
  • Learn the meanings of new words from vocabulary and cultural context.
  • Practice asking questions using Hindi Question tools
  • Learn to understand words and phrases that are common in some colloquial Hindi in addition to learning formal Hindi.
  • Take class tours to learn about the Indian states and their Festivals, traditional foods, flora, and fauna
  • Learn about Indian customs and culture, including how to interact with the people and how to ask questions.
  • Learn more about Indian families, including various family members and family customs


Introduction and Review of Hindi Basic II,Food – Day in Chowki Dhaani, Seasonal Festivals of India,Travel and Transportation – Trip to India, Direction and Flora – Visit to Mughal Garden, National Bird/Animal/fruits/Flower of India

Homework Commitment: 

Each topic will be having quiz, projects on our platform Homework/studying/quizzes (2-3 hours/week)


Formative assessment: lesson checkpoints, digital flashcards, pronunciation of target vocabulary, teacher observation, partner discussions and interactions, worksheets etc.

Summative Assessment: Projects, Online quiz, class presentations, audio/video presentation midterm and year end exam etc

VHS E-Learning classroom : 

This course uses an online virtual classroom embedded in VHS E-Learning Platform for discussions with the instructor. Most course lectures may be viewed on mobile devices, but in some cases assignments and quizzes must be completed on a desktop or laptop computer.
